In June 2026 we will be making our way 70 miles across the Lake District, Cumbria. Get ready for castles, viking settlements, a halfway ceilidh, swimming in rivers, local pubs, and endless old drovers’ roads…

GROWING WELL
For this journey we will be raising funds for Cumbria-based charity Growing Well:
A mental health charity that was established in 2004 with the aim of supporting adults (aged 18+) improve mental health in safe, productive, outdoor spaces. Over two decades later, they now have three commercial scale fruit and vegetable growing sites across the county.
Growing Well welcomes anyone who is finding everyday life difficult. They are qualified to meet needs at every level - mild, moderate and severe/complex and have an activity-focused approach - helping people choose goals and supporting them to achieve these with a day service, which offers purpose, routine and structure: Empowering people to unearth new confidence, skills and purpose - through horticultural activity.
