Journeys on foot, bike and horse-back, inspiring connection to each other, ourselves and to the world around us, using ancient pilgrimage routes as our guide.
In partnership with The British Pilgrimage Trust, Blundstone UK & Fera GB
Welcome to FareWays
Our UK based project that explores the connections between the outdoors, story-telling and mental health in order to advocate for individual, social and environmental wellbeing. For the best taste of what to expect, have a listen to the BBC Radio 4 ‘Open Country’ piece on our ride across Scotland: Highlands with horses.
In 2023 we supported Scottish charity Venture Trust. We raised over £5,000 for their Outdoor Therapy Project for 16-25 year olds & ex-service personnel. Here are some words from some of the 40 participants that took part.

What is FareWays?
Join
FareWays is a multi-chapter journey. A core team of three travellers on horse and foot will wander the British Isles, using primarily running and riding as a moving meditation to connect to the land.
Connect
Our routes will take inspiration from the British pilgrim paths. Everyone is invited to ride/run/hike/support along the way. Our core chain of connection is the communities through which we travel: establishing relationships and telling stories of the individuals and groups we meet in the hope of both amplifying local voices and platforming initiatives that align with our values.
Create
Our aim is to promote the wonder of the natural world on each pilgrimage route as we travel, so that we can educate and inspire those who wish to follow our trails. During our journeys, FareWays will collect stories from fellow travellers or locals. These stories may be shared through our media platforms for others to experience.
